Recently, Guangzhou Qingya Medical Beauty Clinic (hereinafter referred to as "Qingya") was exposed to the use of unlicensed doctors to carry out high-risk surgery. Previously, the doctors involved had caused the actor’s nose to be necrotic and once boarded the "hot search". The above exposure video pointed out that the organization "Guangzhou Qingya" was formerly known as "Xishi Shiguang", which evaded supervision by means of "changing shells" and continued to operate illegally. Since its establishment in 2021, the doctors involved have always been caught in the whirlpool of qualifications.

The video shows that on February 2, 2021, actress Gao Liufa wrote a long article about her unfortunate experience of failing to do "rib nose" plastic surgery in a beauty institution named "Xishi Shiguang", claiming that not only did she not become beautiful after surgery, but she also had symptoms such as rejection, inflammation and even necrosis, and she lost her job, losing 400,000 yuan in film pay and facing high compensation for breach of contract of 2 million yuan. Not only that, but she also said that she learned afterwards that the plastic surgery hospital did not have the relevant qualifications for the project ("rib nose").

With the fermentation of public opinion, the local health and health commission, which supervises the medical beauty clinic, punished the relevant responsible person for the failure of the high-slip operation. According to the notice of punishment, the doctor who performed the operation did not obtain the qualification of medical beauty attending physician who independently performed cosmetic surgery. Tianhe District Health and Health Bureau gave the doctor an administrative penalty of suspending his professional activities for six months according to the Law on Medical Practitioners, and gave him a warning and an administrative penalty of 490 million yuan.

Affected by the above-mentioned medical scandal, "Xishi Time" closed down soon. However, just before the beauty agency closed down, a beauty clinic named Qingya was registered at the same address, and it was restarted by changing the legal representative to cover up the connection. According to public information, Qingya Clinic was established in 2021. It is a medical plastic surgery institution with six centers: micro-plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, body shaping, skin management, oral beauty and hair transplantation.

According to the BBC video, this medical and beauty institution made a profit with a high-priced nose plastic surgery project of 74,000 yuan/case, and the chief surgeon He Ming was an "unlicensed doctor" who disfigured the actor three years ago, with the same address and two brands. He Ming "seamlessly jumped ship" between two institutions sharing the registration place, and even upgraded to "technical dean" to continue high-risk surgery.

It is worth noting that the Guangdong Provincial Health and Health Commission clearly stipulates that "doctors who are subject to administrative punishment shall not be qualified within five years", but after He Ming was punished for illegal operation in 2021, he was approved as an attending physician in April 2024 and was "compliant". And it is still undergoing plastic surgery in the "qualification vacuum period (2021-2024)".

It is reported that the price of He Ming’s nasal plastic surgery package is 49,800 yuan, and the total price has soared to 74,500 yuan after additional anesthesia and nasal bone pushing. Qingya even provides patients with the option of "beauty loan", claiming "no burden" installment loan, which only charges fees on the surface, and the actual interest rate is suspected of usury.

According to iResearch data, in 2024, the medical beauty market broke through 300 billion yuan, but the number of complaints caused by illegal medical practice and the proliferation of counterfeit goods surged by 35%. Today, the slippery nose has left irreparable sequelae, and in November 2024, Dr. He Ming also appeared on the social media platform as an expert in nasal plastic surgery.

The analysis points out that when the demand for "beauty" becomes a billion-dollar business, how to make consumers stop paying the health price for "face value anxiety", it is urgent for the medical and beauty industry to cut off the gray interest chain and prevent "beauty seekers" from becoming "lambs to be slaughtered".
