The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to speed up the construction of digital China and implement the strategy of rural revitalization. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee put forward "adhering to the new development concept and fully implementing the rural revitalization strategy".

At present, Unicom’s "Safe Villages" projects in various parts of Hubei are in full swing, "lighting up" one village after another. Unicom’s "Wojia Yunshi" security platform has been connected to nearly 1,000 township and village platforms, serving hundreds of thousands of farmers. During the epidemic, China Unicom delivered more than 100 village-level monitoring platforms, which effectively helped governments at all levels to carry out epidemic prevention and control work.

"Since the counterpart poverty alleviation work, the per capita disposable income of poor households in Dongshan Village, Caidian, Wuhan has increased from 3,800 yuan in 2016 to 19,038 yuan in 2020, and the happiness index of villagers has been rising steadily." According to the introduction of Dongshan Village, China Unicom has tailored the digital operation platform for the village, opened the governance information platform of "Safe Village" and "internet plus Party Construction", and installed cameras, thermometers and other equipment at the traffic arteries at the bridgehead and the back hill of the village to build a joint defense monitoring platform for the villagers, so as to improve the comprehensive management level of village residence and help the modernization of rural social governance.

Rural revitalization and rural education development are related to the overall situation of China’s modernization. "Climbing to the top of the mountain to find a signal for online class" was once the daily life of villagers and children in Yaoziyan Village, Qingtuping Village, Zhushan County, Shiyan City. After learning about the situation, Shiyan Branch of Hubei Unicom responded urgently and rushed to the mountain in the rain. It took only three days to build a new 4G base station at the top of the mountain at an altitude of 473 meters behind the resettlement site of Yaoziyan, which solved the difficulty for children in the mountains to go online and the villagers to catch up with the signal.

In Dujiachong Village, Yichang, the villagers ushered in a happy harvest season this year. Since 2016, with the continuous promotion of Unicom and the village committee for four years, by 2021, the cumulative planting area of white tea in Dujiachong Village has reached 2,000 mu, and farmers’ income from selling tea has increased by about 200,000 yuan. White tea industry has become an important industrial foundation for local development of rural economy, increase farmers’ income, and promote the effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

In the next step, Unicom and Dujiachong Village will jointly promote the widening and hardening of the roads around the factory building, the optimization and improvement of the regional network, and support the construction of Unicom Cultural Square invested in the early stage, and gradually form a new mode of combining tea tours with tea gardens, enjoying tea scenery and tasting tea fragrance, so as to plug in the wings of rural revitalization.

In addition, Unicom and Houping Town Government of Baokang County, Xiangyang signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of Digital Township Management Service Platform", relying on digital townships to realize the three-level organization and management system of townships, villages and households, build a digital government, consolidate the foundation of rural management and help rural revitalization.
