Russian Deputy Minister of Communications was dismissed, and Russian media said it might be related to the explosion of Crimea Bridge.
According to today’s Russian (RT) news, on 24th local time, Russian Prime Minister Mishustin dismissed Alexander Suhanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, whose main work included ensuring the safety of strategic transportation facilities such as the Crimea Bridge.
RT quoted Russian media RBK as saying that Suhanov’s dismissal may be related to the truck explosion on the Crimea Bridge earlier this month. In 2017, he took up the post of Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
Russian media said that a document issued by the Russian federal government showed that Suhanov was dismissed "at his own request".
On October 8, the strategic Crimea Bridge exploded, killing three civilians and setting fire to a passing freight train. The Russian side called the explosion a "terrorist attack" and accused the Ukrainian government of being responsible for it. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said that Russia confirmed 12 suspects suspected of involvement in the bombing and arrested 8 of them.
